ANCIENT TRADITION. DYNAMIC REBIRTH
AnDa Union
Thursday, October 27, 7:30 pm — Englert Theatre
Immerse yourself in the haunting beauty of Mongolian folk music via the skilled hands and voices of AnDa Union. Weaving together regional musical traditions, styles, and instrumentation passed
from generation to generation—including hoomai (guttural throat song) and the morin huur (the horse head fiddle)—these young, inspiring musicians are committed to keeping their legacy alive amidst an increasingly industrialized environment. The result offers a rare glimpse into a nearly forgotten musical landscape, breathing new life into past treasures.
