Meanwhile, Lani Hall—Alpert’s wife and the Grammy-winning voice of Sergio Mendes’ band for many years—continues to captivate as she bridges jazz and pop styles. Together, they have been packing intimate venues while playing what Alpert describes as “original arrangements of classic American standards with the color of Brazilian music scattered throughout.” Sounds like the crème de la crème to us.
