The Bad Plus—pianist Ethan Iverson, bassist Reid Anderson, and drummer David King—has recently released Made Possible, the band’s eighth recording. The album adds to the band’s strong body of convention-busting original music, which is spiced with innovative covers of popular music. The last time the band played Iowa City—the 2006 edition of the Iowa City Jazz Festival—they thrilled a huge crowd.
