Musicians from Marlboro
Wednesday, March 11, 7:30 pm, Clapp Recital Hall
Think of it as a mini-festival. From the verdant hills of Vermont and the annual Marlboro Music Festival comes a splendid assemblage of six musicians who, like previous ensembles that have visited Iowa City under the Marlboro banner, will engage the audience with a unique program and varied configurations.
The performance will feature two works by Beethoven—Serenade in D Major, opus 25 for flute, violin, and viola and String Quintet in C Major, opus 29—as well as Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály’s Serenade, opus 12 for two violins and viola.
Supported by Richard and Judith Hurtig
