You know all those walls traditionally built between classical and pop music? Consider them demolished. Pianist Christopher O'Riley and cellist Matt Haimovitz live dangerously. O'Riley is best known as the host of NPR and PBS's "From the Top" and boasts a repertoire spanning from Beethoven and Chopin to Radiohead and Pink Floyd. Cellist Haimovitz is one of classical music's most adventurous artists, cited for his penchant for performing classical masterworks in unusual spaces, including coffee houses and nightclubs. Their daring collaboration, Shuffle. Play. Listen. offers much more than a fresh take on familiar traditions—together, this duo has the potential to redefine the possibilities of (and audience for) classical music.
