The Riverside is located in the Northside Neighborhood of Iowa City, just a few blocks north of downtown Iowa City.
From I-80 take the Dubuque St exit going south. At the stoplight at the top of the hill, turn left onto Church St. Go two blocks and then turn right onto Gilbert St. Riverside Theatre will be on your right side, about six blocks south.
From downtown Iowa City take S Gilbert St going north. Riverside Theatre will be at the intersection between N Gilbert and Market streets.
Parking
There is a surfaced parking lot just to the west of Riverside Theatre – the main entrance to the lot is off of Market St. There is also metered street parking on Market St to the south, and N Linn street to the west.
Seating
Hancher performances at the Riverside Theatre are assigned seating. The seats are padded with armrests.. The stage is on a small raised platform, and the seats are at an incline with steps between each row.
Accessibility
The Riverside Theatre is accessible from the entrance off of Gilbert St, just north of the main entrance. There are several accessible seating areas in the front row. Please contact Hancher Accessibility Services at 319-335-1158 to arrange for accessible seating at a specific event.
Hearing augmentation, low-vision assistance equipment and a house wheelchair are available at this venue.

Restrooms are located just off the main lobby at street level.

Riverside Theatre is located in the Northside Neighborhood, with many fine restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. There is also an art gallery in the lobby of Riverside Theatre, and concessions are usually available pre-show and during intermission.
