West High School Auditorium
Hancher performances at West High School take place in the main auditorium, which is located at the east end of the school. Use the east-most school entrance, and use the parking that is adjacent to the building.

West High School is located on the west side of Iowa City, just off of Hwy 218 at exit 93/Melrose Ave.
From downtown Iowa City, take Burlington going west over the river. Stay on Burlington as it changes to Grand and goes up the hill by the dorms and swings left by the Field House. When it comes to a T-intersection, turn right onto Melrose Ave. Stay on Melrose past the Finkbine Golf Course and Mormon Trek Blvd. West High will be on your left.
From I-380 / Hwy 218, go south on I-380 until it turns into Hwy 218. Take exit 93, and go east on Melrose Ave. West High will be on your right, less than 1 mile off of the highway.
Parking
There is a large surface parking lot adjacent to the east end of West High, with handicapped spaces next to the building. Entrances to the parking lot are from Melrose Ave.
Seating
Hancher performances at West High are assigned seating. West High Auditorium has 800 padded seats with armrests. It is all one sloped level (no balcony), with one large cross aisle, then steps between each row.
Accessibility
West High is very accessible. The cross-aisle of the auditorium is at street level, so there are a number of seats that can be accessed without any steps. There are fourteen wheelchair-accessible spaces in the auditorium, and the bathrooms are accessible as well. Please contact Hancher Accessibility Services at 319-335-1158 to arrange for accessible seating at a specific event.
Restrooms
There are restrooms available near the entrance to the auditorium, at street level.
