Sunday, June 19, 2 p.m. Dan Zanes at Hancher and picnic
The New York Times Magazine describes Dan Zanes’ music as “Romper Rock,” and the description is apt. The former leader of the Del Fuegos, Zanes left the world of rock ‘n’ roll to record and perform for children. The result is a roots-rock sound that leads to “those rare children’s concerts where the grownups clearly (have) as much fun as their (kids)” (Boston Herald).
Join us for a perfect Father’s Day event that will bring a smile to every face and a song to everyone’s lips. Come early--beginning at 12:30 for the Father’s Day picnic on the Hancher Green, included in the ticket price.
Tickets online (or call the Hancher box office at 319/335-1135 after May 31)
